LED Benefits

Conserving energy is only the beginning when it comes to the many benefits LED offers. Learn more below.

Energy efficiency
LED technology uses up to 85 percent less energy than incandescent bulbs and up to 50 percent less than fluorescents. Such outstanding energy efficiency helps you protect the environment while also protecting your bottom line. And, as you’ll see below, you can do it all without sacrificing quality or performance.

Performance
A common barrier to entry for LED has been light quality and performance. But new advances in LED technology have resulted in lighting solutions that are equal to or better than traditional options. Luma Vue’s LED lights deliver excellent color quality and brightness, extremely long life spans and unsurpassed durability.

Cost benefits
While the initial investment in LED lighting may seem substantial, its long term cost savings pay major dividends. The obvious savings come from LED’s remarkable energy efficiency, but savings are also realized by the fact that Its low heat production means much lower cooling costs. Long life spans and low maintenance requirements also contribute to LED’s cost benefits.

Maintenance reduction
LED technology reduces maintenance and its associated costs because LED lights last 35 to 50 times longer than incandescent lighting and about two to five times longer than fluorescent lighting. This, combined with LED’s durability, translates to less frequent need to replace and dispose of bulbs – and that means lower costs. Plus, there’s no ballast replacement necessary, further reducing maintenance costs.

Health
Unlike traditional lighting, LEDs contain none of the toxic substance mercury and can therefore be disposed of safely and easily. Additionally, LEDs reduce common complaints such as eyestrain and headaches because they produce none of the flicker, burnout and hum characteristic of other lighting solutions, nor do they emit UV radiation.
